About Us

Stephen started Dancing at the age of 9 winning many titles and championships in Freestyle Dancing. Stephen then took his professional examinations at the age of 17. Over the years Stephen has won many top awards for his teaching. He now enjoys teaching pupils of all ages and abilities in many different Countries and has some of the top dancers in England and Norway who dance at Energize.

Stephen has 25 years of dance and fitness experience, he has trained to the highest calibre and is qualified to the highest standard. Stephen is a Fellow of the United Kingdom Alliance Professional Teachers of Dancing. F.(U.K.A.TD) and also A Fellow of International Dance Teachers   Associate F.(I.D.T.A.) and a RSA Senior Fitness Instructor. He is qualified to teach:- Freestyle, Rock & Roll, Latin, Modern, Salsa, Streetdance and all types of fitness, from Tae-Bo to Zumba in both dance and fitness

Stephen has won many awards for his drive, enthusiasm and commitment to his work within the industry over the years, including The Carl Alan Teachers Professional Award, and The Classique De Danse Teachers Award and Team Trainer Award. He always maintains the highest standards in his field. He often lectures to other dance professionals both in this Country and abroad often being invited to join the Panel of Adjudicators at Championship competitions.

Karen runs the business side of Energize and oversees all the Management, Personnel, administration, Health & Safety, Training, P.R. work, Customer Services and Promotional side of the business. Karen is also a U.K.A.Qualified Dance Teacher A.(U.K.A.PTD) and Adjudicator, also she is a qualified NSI Beauty/Nail & /Airbrush Tanning Therapist. Karen studied at Burnley college for a Btec National Diploma in Business and Finance and Administration gaining the highest Distinction grades.

Stephen & Karen are also promoters of Freestyle Competitions.  Stephen & Karen met dancing 23 years ago.

Karen enjoys studying and is now studying Photography and Graphic Web Design in Manchester.
